Description

1988 Mitsubishi Jeep J53, open body, 2.7L diesel turbo, 4-speed manual transmission, 81,000 km actual mileage. Originally a single-owner vehicle used for light off-road driving. Deregistered in 2016 and stored in a garage. New canvas top installed by the seller. Structural modification carried out to reduce seating from 4 to 2 people (rear seatback still present). Engine, transmission, turbo, and electrical systems confirmed working; no oil leaks. Lower frame has no dents or corrosion. Truck bed shows no rust. Includes original color catalog and spare hood (both given to buyer). Cracked front windshield (approx. 2 cm) and canvas top zipper malfunction on driver side (will not close fully). Driver seat upholstery torn at seams. Corrosion hole approximately 2 cm diameter on driver floor near accelerator pedal. Hood and fender badging/striping partially removed (incomplete). Tires have cracks; seller does not recommend self-driving. Gauge lighting and instrument panel lighting in excellent condition. No service records, no safety inspection, no spare tire.

Seller grades this as generally good for a 36-year-old vehicle. Notable defects: canvas top zipper stuck, windshield crack (~2 cm), corrosion hole in driver floor pan (~2 cm), torn driver seat upholstery, and partial badge/stripe removal on hood.

Ships from Saga, Japan, to our Osaka warehouse and on to Pomona.
