Original vintage Marshall STARLUX 722/702 center-rib headlight, commonly called 'Cats Eye'. Made in France in 1976. This is a full-size lens unit with diameter approximately 180mm and mounting width approximately 200mm between light brackets. The seller notes that modern reproductions of the 722 differ significantly in lens size, color, and reflector design and are easily distinguished from this period piece.
Condition is described as excellent for its age with only minor wear; no notable damage. The lens and reflector are bright and clear. Unit has been converted to H4 and includes an ion-color H4 bulb. A position lamp has been newly added. Comes with universal rim and case, fitting most Japanese motorcycle makes (Z-series, CB-series, etc.). Can be used as-is or lens unit swapped into OEM rim/case. Mounting and fitting adjustments have been made. Described as the black cat version of this rare vintage piece.
