This is a 3rd generation Honda Prelude 2.0 Si (chassis BA5, modified/certified with over-fenders), a 1988 (Showa 63) coupe with roughly 237,730 km on the odometer. It has the AT transmission, 4WS four-wheel steering, factory sunroof, and power windows/steering/door locks. Valid Japanese shatken (vehicle inspection) through April 2027. The seller states the engine was swapped for a rebuilt unit around 100,000 km, XJZ Racing coilovers were installed last year at inspection, a stainless steel Hi-Power Medallion muffler is fitted, the alternator has been replaced, and the timing belt/water pump were replaced around 200,000 km. A new battery was installed in July 2026. The original white factory side mirror is included (a green remote mirror is currently fitted but its in-cabin remote function does not work). Original wheels and tires are included, though the alloy wheels have clear-coat peeling. No factory audio unit; an ATOTO display unit has been installed instead. Test drives and in-person inspection are encouraged and available at the Fukuoka storage location.
Seller describes typical wear for a 38-year-old car including scratches and dashboard/audio panel wear with screw marks, tire tread is adequate, and A/C intermittently fails to engage for an unknown reason. The green remote mirror's in-cabin control does not work, and only the driver-side washer nozzle sprays.
