Description

1972 Honda Life Wagon 360, 3-door, 4-seater, automatic transmission, silver. This is an early Life Wagon (前期) with extensive recent restoration. Engine fully disassembled and rebuilt: crankshaft replaced (was bent 2/100), new crankshaft and rod bearings, cylinder head seat cut and valve face polished by a machine shop, valve stem seals replaced, all oil seals renewed, piston rings replaced, water pump rebuilt, timing belt replaced, drive shaft boots replaced, alternator rebuilt. Transmission: ATF changed five times, shifts cleanly and described by seller as exceptionally good for this era. Fuel system: tank removed, inspected for internal rust (none found), cleaned, fuel line replaced with copper tubing, new condenser and points, new ignition coil, spark plug wires and caps. Brake system: new shoes and cups all four wheels. Carburetor overhauled by specialist (single-carb tuning noted as difficult). Engine mounts: front replaced, rear rubber repaired. Bodywork: front bonnet and rear gate repaired and repainted. Undercarriage: no rust noted. All service by licensed mechanics. Vehicle passed safety inspection (軽自動車検査協会). Mileage unknown. Odometer recently fixed (was moving erratically, now corrected). Driver's seat has a tear but comfortable, not repaired. Valid inspection until August 2026. Seller notes condition is uncommon for this model; recommends in-person inspection before purchase. Automatic transmission reliability concerns addressed—seller owns three spare automatic gearboxes and sees no failure risk. Now driven regularly and running well. Seller reducing collection.

Seller describes overall condition as good and notes this standard is rare for the model. Driver's seat has a tear but remains comfortable; front bonnet and rear gate have recent panel and paint work.
