This is a genuine OEM Honda valve cover (head cover/tappet cover) for the B16A engine, originally fitted to EF9 and EF8 chassis. It features the early-style large 'DOHC' lettering unique to the EF series, distinct from the large 'VTEC' lettering used on later EG6 and onward covers, making it a harder-to-find original design. The cover has been professionally finished with a black crystal (textured) coating and has not been installed or used since that coating was applied. It would suit an EF9/EF8 restoration back to stock appearance or as a dress-up part for any B-series engine such as B16B or B18C swaps. The seller notes this is a one-off unit with no additional stock.
Seller lists the condition as 'near new' (未使用に近い) and states the cover is unused since the black crystal coating was professionally applied.
