Arai Matsumoto Keiji Replica Helmet (GP-U Replica)
▼Arai 松本 恵二 レプリカ ヘルメット (GP-Uレプリカ)▲

A replica helmet commemorating the late Matsumoto Keiji, a Japanese racing driver. Matsumoto was All-Japan F2 Champion (1979), Fuji Grand Champion Race Champion (1983), and won the 1985 WEC-Japan race with Hoshino Kazuyoshi and Hagiwara Hikari. He passed away in 2015 at age 65.
This is a custom-built replica created by modifying an Arai helmet to recreate the rare GP-U model. The shield is hand-fabricated from acrylic, and the interior lining is reproduced using commercially available fabric. This is not an authentic GP-U helmet but rather a display piece ideal for a garage or collector.
The life support decals are affixed with double-sided tape and can be removed if desired.
Seller states condition as near unused, suitable for display. This is a custom replica, not an original.
